Reporting Services 2000

When i save a report as a web archive page breaking for the report is not enabled ?The entire data is displayed in a single page even if paging properties are enabled for the report.

That is expected behaviour.

The paging delivered on the web is a server side operation. The only way to get paging in a offline html format would be for Reporting services to create a separate html file per page, effectively generating a whole website for you. And the only way to get it as a single download would be for it to generate the multiple files on the server and zip them up into an archive.

This is not currently supported.

reporting services (client or server) ad-hoc user created reports?

Hi,
I would like to allow my users to create report templates and save them.
The reports should get their data from my business objects. I'm not really
sure where to begin with this.. I image that i'll need to setup reporting
services.
Currently I have rdlc client reports and report viewer. I don't mind moving
to server reports if required, but i'd like to continue to use the viewer to
display them in my application.
Has anyone else done this?

Yes, but I'm at the point where I still need to learn how to build the
model for use in report builder. As I said, I'm just starting with
this.. and only one book I found spends any time on ad-hoc reports,
and only one chapter.

Reporting Services

Hi,

I have a question please somebody help me on this. As I was working on my report , done some changes and didn't save it. Got the following message after some time:

Deserialization is not a valid value.

then i am unable to open my report. What could have happend?

I have created some data sets for the report. Is there a way i could the data sets created for that report.

It looks like, I have to create a whole new report again.

No, the dataset definitions for the report are contained within the rdl file. What you could possibly do is open the rdl file in an XML editor, extract the appropriate dataset nodes, and insert them into a new copy of the report that does not have the problem. It is up to you how to get that copy of the report that still works, ideally you should have it in a source repository and you can just revert (roll back) to a previous version.

Reporting Server Subscription Issue

Dear All,
We are facing some issue in reporting service subscriptions. In one of the
server when We create subscription to save or send report, Its giving below
error.
But reports works fine directly from the report manager.
ERROR:
Failure sending mail: An error has occurred during report processing.
Its not logging anything on the report server log file. We have configured
reports server's .config files to point to application's dll file.
Everything works fine from the report manager.
We created a report with some data from the database which is working fine
with the subscription. But when I added code to access application dll, its
not working through subscription
(though it works from report manager).
Anyone faced similar issue and able to solve, please let me know.
