Does anyone know if it's possible to get Reporting Services 2005 as a standalone installation (without having to purchase a full license of Sql Server 2005)?
Or do you get RS2005 with Sql Server 2005 Express?

Reporting Services requires a SQL server to connect to. Express in not supported as a catalog sku. You only need one license if you run Report Server and SQL server on the same box.

|||What is not clear to me is how to purchase Reporting Services to use with an Oracle SQL Server. Reporting Services adds value to us, but SQL Server does not (we have a Enterprise wide licensing arrangement for Oracle which makes SQL Server not worth considering for purchase).
I assume we would need to purchase a single SQL Server license to obtain Reporting Services, would I be correct in assuming since only Reporting Services will be used there is no need to purchase any CALs?
