Reporting Services 2005 & IE7 Beta
load client print control". This is because the RSClientPrint ActiveX
control is not loaded. I have noticed that in IE7 Beta is not automatically
prompting to download the control. Has anyone been successful in running
this under IE7? I am using 7.0.5112.0, Beta 1.
* "Enable download for the ActiveX client print control" is enabled on the
server.
* Report Server added to the Trusted Sites list
* Download Signed ActiveX Controls = Enable
* Script ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting = Enable
* Automatic Prompting for ActiveX Controls = Enable
Works fine under IE6.
Thanks,
-sYou may want to insure that it is enabled.
Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Manage Add-ons
If RSCleintPrint Class is enabled, you may want to delete it and allow
it to be reinstalled.
Hope you get it to working,
Lonsql

Reporting services 2000 / 2005 parameters
Hi all,
Is there any way to pass a dataset parameter in RS 2000? Basicly, I have some data in my web page and want to print it. But I don't want to create another page to pass parameters to RS. I want to print the page as it is with the data already in the page, so if there is a way I can send the data through a dataset to the report directly, would be great. Is there?
Thank you very much,
Marco
You can give this a try.

Reporting Services 2000 - Printing Hangs
I am running SQL 2000 SP4 with Reporting Services 2000 SP2. Reporting services hangs when I try to print reports. The reports render okay, and when I click on the print icon, I get the appropriate dialog box. Once I click "OK", I get the "Printing..." dialog that says "Printing Now...", but it never prints, and the window eventually stops responding. As far as I am aware, no changes have been made to the server, and it was working fine approximately 10 days ago. Below is the contents of my RS Client Print Log (%Temp%\LOG56.tmp):

Can anyone give me any ideas as to how to troubleshoot this issue?
Hi Patrick,
If that is all that is in the log, it looks like the service might be having an issue with rendering the Url. Paste the Url from the print log file into Internet Explorer and see if it renderers an emf image.
Also, you can check the Report Server log files for any exceptions from the rendering. You can find the log directory, Logfiles next to the Report Server installation binaries directory.
Did you change any settings on your server to use Cookieless Sessions? I notice that the SessionID is not stored in the URL.
|||
I have not changed any cookie settings. When I paste the URL into the browser, I get a prompt for credentials, and then an HTTP 401 (Unauthorized) error. I am an Administrator, so my credentials should be valid. The ReportServer log showed the following:

Reporting Services - Rendering
I have created reports using Reporting Services and the problem I am having is with the Print Layout. I view a report with parameters and print. I then change the parameters and click 'View Report' again and the new report is displayed. However, the report does not refresh in the Print Layout, so if I try to print the 2nd report, the first report is the one that is printed. Any ideas how to solve this?
Thanks
Quite simple.
Close Print Layout when you change the parameters and open it after the new report is displayed. Print Layout is rendered upon demand, and just changing the parameters is not refreshing the Print Layout screen.
|||Bdot - aparerntly this is a confirmed bug but you can work around it in code by hooking up to the ViewButtonClick event and calling RefreshReport.c/o http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=267834&SiteID=1

Reporting Services
the Reporting Services Server.
Is there a way to do that?
Scott BurkeIn the Report Server Metadata Database
Select * from dbo.Catalog where type = 2
There are also some sample reports which come with SQL Server that might be
helpful to you..
