I have installed SQL 2005 on a new server and installed the Reporting
Services Server as well...Or so I think. Anyway I have checked the
Reporting Services Configuartation as well as the surface level
configuration tool and all apprears to be running properly.
My issue is that when i go to the url
http://localhost/reports/pages/folder.aspx (home) I see the folder icon
the home, my subscriptiosn and help links and the blue and yellow bar.
Thats it. I do have reports that have been sucessfully migrated and
can see that they exist and read the rdl if i go to
http://localhost/repoerserver..etc.
I am an administrator and have rights to the report server db and the
db(s) being called in the migrated reports.
Could I have missed a permission somewhere? Could it be something
else?
Thanks for any advice/help you can provide.
MTMy guess is that you anonymous access on the Reports website.

Reporting Service Client
I am asked to install Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting Service Client on
user's desktop. I loaded the CD (Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Reporting
Services) on my desktop, it says:
1. IIS is not installed.
2. ASP.NET is not installed.
3. Visual Studio.NET is not installed.
My question is: Is there a standalone Reporting Service Client I can install
on any user's desktop to access Reporting Servcie Server? Why it asked
IIS/ASP.NET/Visual Studio.NET to be installed on desktop?
To access RS and view the reports the client only needs IE. To use the
Report Designer to author (create) reports in the RDL and to publish the
reports to the report server, the client requires the entries you listed
from the RS prerequisites.
