Reporting Services

A recent MSDN magazine article decribed SQL Server's Reporting Services.
Will Reporting Services work on MSDE?
TIA!
Wayne P.
No, you can't host Reporting Services on MSDE--it must be Standard Edition
or better. You CAN, however, extract data from MSDE databases and virtually
any other data source.

IMHO this is a shame - the toolset would have added a nice set of
functionality for smaller projects. Most of my clients end up using MSDE
solely due to the price of MS SQL.
Thanks again -

|||In SQL Server 2005 we will have reporting services report controls included
in Visual Studio that will provide you report rendering, rather than server
functionality.
They will be free to redist as part of your app.
