I can see there is option to Reporting Service when installing SQL Server Express. However, I have heard Reporting Service come with the license of SQL Server. So, can I use Reporting Service with the free-of-charge SQL Server Express?Yes, seems that you downloaded the Advanced Services edition. This includes the Reporting Services engine, with the restritction only to render data from local databases. But you are free to use and restribute it along with your solutions built on top of that.

Also, is that legal to install and use the lastest Reporting Service(version 2005, right?) on server with SQL Server 2000?

|||Its legal to install SQL Server Express on any Server, but I don′t know if you will be able to consume the data from the SQL Server 2k as the limitation on the site states "Local Server only" which is I assume is only SQL Server Express.
