Reporting services - SQL server 2005

We are in the process of doing a side by side installation of the SQL
server 2000 and SQL server 2005 on the same server. To install the
Reporting services feature of SQL server 2005 requires IIS. We have a
seperate web server running IIS that connects to the database server.
My question is : can we still install Reporting services on the
database server without the IIS?

I would like to know how to create a file programatically(VB) in the
reporting services folder, so that it can be accessed from the report
manager.Do you mean create an RDL file? You can find a walk through
on this in books online. An RDL file is just XML so you can
use the XMLTextWriterClass. Check the books online topic:
